A Historic Champagne, Defined by Elegance and Freshness
The Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut NV is a vibrant and refined Champagne, rooted in history as one of the world’s first lightly dosed brut-style cuvées. Since 1846, the house has been renowned for its ability to produce delicately balanced Champagnes, requiring minimal added sugar due to the exceptional quality of its grapes. Crafted with precision and finesse, this cuvée embodies freshness, floral elegance, and a rich, lingering finish.
Appearance: Silvery gold in the glass, reflecting its lively and stylish nature.
Aroma: A delicate bouquet of white flowers, fresh fruit, and hints of buttery brioche and vanilla.
Palate: Crisp and light, with a beautifully structured balance of freshness and richness, leading to a generous, lingering finish.
The warm, dry, always ventilated climate and the temperatures mitigated by the sea breeze make this a natural and optimal area for wine grape production. The subsoil enhances the fruit characteristics and concentration of Syrah, which is highly suitable here, alongside the area’s main grape, Nero d’Avola.
Deep red, almost impenetrable color. Complex nose with notes of black pepper and nutmeg. Rich palate with excellent varietal character. PAIRING Game, roasts and sheep’s Cheese.
Syrah Doc 2021 Ruby Red with purple tints, aromas of wild berries, cherries, clove, cedar wood and violets. Full round and balanced with inky notes on the finish. Minerals and sweet brown spices, ground black peppers, graphite, myrtle, and balsamic, with higher-pitched suggestions of sour red cherry and violet. The juicy, mouth-watering texture leaves you wanting another glass.

From its late 17th-century Cape beginnings, Spier has embraced sustainability as its mantra in the 21st century. From carefully tended, bio-diverse vineyards come this fabulous ‘Good-Natured’ Organic Chenin Blanc. The wine shows a pale, lemon-yellow hue and quince, lemon zest and custard aromatics, with hints of flat-leaf parsley, straw and forest honey. The elegant, light-bodied palate is linear, well-defined and intensely flavoured, framed by bracing acidity and a hint of creamy lees. The lingering finish has a touch of astringency, adding grip and texture. No hurry: the wine will develop and improve.
A recommended match is poached salmon with cucumber and sweet red pepper aspic.

The 2019s are potent, tightly wound Barolos that will thrill readers who appreciate the nuance, subtlety and structure of Nebbiolo. Well timed rain helped the temper summertime heat, leading to one of the latest harvest of recent years. Today, the 2019s show elements of youthful austerity that, at times, recall vintages such as 2016, 2005 and 1999." (01/23) 95 points +
This is a wine of great finesse but also complexity with an imponent tannic structure that, although charming in this moment, requires more time to refine. It is still very young. This wine was aged in a Barrel of 2600 litres of French oak.
Pouring a jeweled ruby hue, the 2019 Barolo is lovely and detailed, with floral perfume and notes of candied roses, raspberry preserves, and sweet baking spices. This medium-bodied red is mouthwatering from the start and is balanced with ripe red berries, orange peel, and cinnamon. Fine yet present tannins are propelled forward by fresh acidity and a mineral-tinged finish. I continue to be impressed with the direction this estate has been heading in, and this wine is certainly no exception, lending great insight into the work they have put in. Best After 2025.
The fresh flowers, like roses, really come through here. Perfumed. Sliced strawberry and citrus. Full-bodied with linear and tight tannins. Bright acidity gives it drive and focus. Give it four or five years to soften and come together.

Like the entire Val di Noto, Ispica is the land of Nero d’Avola. Also defined as “Calabrese”, it is a late ripening vine which reaches maturity towards mid-October. Even international grape varieties like Syrah, have adapted well to this territory where, under the long summer sun, they completely lose their herbaceous character and instead take on a pleasant tropical sweetness.
The 2021 Nero D’avola boasts striking aromatics, perfumed fruit, and lovely overall balance, all in a mid-weight. Sweet red cherry, raspberry, red plum, red liquorice, figs, spices, sandalwood, aniseed, leather, and coffee filed chocolate. The palate is a rich array of flavours, fleshy, smooth, and elegant with a refined and persistent tannin.
Lots of rich mulberries, chocolate, coffee beans and ripe plum character. Medium body, ripe tannins, and some fresh acidity.

A classic and quintessential year, In 2021 due to the severe shortage of wines, 20% of1er Cru Vosgros was added to the wine to provide greater texture and volume.Vosgros is a Premier Cru vineyard at the southern end of Chablis in northern Burgundy. The slopes of this site form a natural, southwest-oriented amphitheatre, making aChardonnay-based wine with bright, fresh characters that are classically Chablis, albeitslightly riper and rounder.Nose very fresh, lively and mineral with flint, green apple, lemon, underbrush and fieldmushroom. Notes of lime-flower, mint, and acacia occur frequently, as do aromas ofliquorice and freshly-cut hay. Age deepens the colour and adds a note of spice to thebouquet. On the palate, these aromas retain their freshness for an extended period.Perky and full of juice, it has an attack like an infantry charge. Long and likeablepersistence leads to a smooth and serene finish. Very dry and impeccably delicate,Chablis has a unique and readily-recognisable personality.

On the nose lovely notes of Lime Blossom, citrus peel, lime rind, Tahitian lime with a Kaffir lime overtone. The palate is fresh, bone dry, and clean with green apple, citrus lime, lemongrass, crushed pebbles, iodine overtones and mineral characteristics. The ideal seafood accompaniment and summer wine. It is fresh and pleasant with a lovely length. Lovely delicacy and purity of fruit lifted and a crisp, bracing finish, it can be kept for a few years.

A deeply fruited western Barossa shiraz, etched with graphite and dark spice and fruits that sit in the Doris plum, blackberry and blueberry spectrum. It's generous, with a distinctly contemporary feel and a rich créme de cassis-like flow on the palate. Oak seemingly plays a minor role in favour of fruits, fine and powdery tannins and a delicious blueberry pie finish
It is gorgeously perfumed on the nose showing dark black/blueberry, violet, dark cocoa, and cedar notes, leading to a sumptuous palate that is filled with rich fruit intensity and velvety texture. Upfront and hugely appealing. At its best: now to 20352021 - 92pts The Real Review 2021 - 92pts Halliday Wine Companion

Light pale pink in the glass. Watermelon and rose water aromas, super crunchy apple on the palate with a touch of creamy texture (thank you Grenache fermented in barrel), hints of strawberry and watermelon, super dry and lip-smacking acidity on the finish to leave you only wanting more!
This is Bone dry and ideal for our summer.
Wine Reviews 94 points - A stony, dry and pretty Montepulciano rosé with just a smidgen of grenache. Shows a wonderfully crisp, savoury line, detailed and delicate raspberry and red berry fruits and wisps of wildflowers, crushed stone and marzipan. Just a slink of texture and a wonderful 'sucking on a river pebble' savoury umami ache on the finish. Great drinking. Drink 2023-29" Dave Brooks
The 1er Cru is intense on the nose and imbued with great charm. The palate is well-balanced with slightly powdery tannins, attractive and quite plush black cherry andmulberry fruit. It gains weight towards the finish but retains its smooth and sleektexture. This is difficult to resist in its current state.
The 2018 has notes of fresh, red cherry have a slight raspberry glint. The palate presents thesame aromatic, fresh fruit, bright but ripe. This wine is fresh, slightly crunchy, light, and totallyappetizing. AK MW 91 Pts

Dijon clones 95 and 76; hand-picked and partially whole-bunch pressed, wild-yeast fermented in French hogsheads and puncheons (30% new) and matured for 10 months, then the finest barrels chosen for this wine. A classic white peach, pink grapefruit flavour, the palate long and racy. This is arguably one of the Best Chardonnay value for money on the market, I think 2024 may be perhaps the best Sidewood has produced to date.
